Hi guys! I’m super excited about my post today. My hubby was awesome enough to follow me around at the gym and take some pictures of me doing my normal workout routine, and I will happily be sharing them with you today. Plus I’ll be showing you what my favorite post-workout snack is!

Did I feel awkward having pictures taken of myself at the gym? Yep. Plus the gym was PACKED. But I did it for you guys, lol! I personally love seeing what exercises people do at the gym. It was so foreign to me before I started going regularly. I had no clue what the machines even did. So I wanted to give you an inside look at my workout routine AND my awesome post-workout snack!

Stair Climber

So when I go to the gym I usually begin with some cardio. I start out with the stair climber because well, there’s no science to it, I do the workout I loathe the most first to get it out of the way! I do the stair climber for 15 minutes at speed 7.

Then, I hit the elliptical where I do another 15-20 minutes of cardio. Making sure I have AT LEAST 30 minutes of cardio is a rule of thumb I go by every time I’m at the gym. Once my elliptical workout is done, I go work out my legs a bit.

I love the Inner/Outer thigh leg machine because it works both parts on one machine! You just have to adjust it  😉

For the inner thighs I do 1 set of 15, followed by 15 pulses at 50lbs. Then repeat 2 more times. For the outer thighs, I do the same. Don’t forget the pulses!!! That’s where you get a good burn.

To tone the booty, I use this “Lying Leg Curl” Machine. I usually do 3 sets of 12 at 35 lbs. If I’m feeling especially strong, I’ll do 40 lbs.

I do some hanging leg lifts to work my core, 3 sets of 10. If I’m feeling in the mood, I will also do the ab roll-up machine. But that is rare. Those machines never really did much for me..

I then move on to some arm workouts.

My arm workouts usually consist of three sets of 12 at a weight I’m comfortable with, but is still tough.

After these machines I like do some cooling down on the treadmill.

I walk at an incline of 10 at 3.5 for 10 minutes. Then run at a 5.5-6 for 10 minutes. Then cool down for about a minute. And that’s my workout!!

My routines change from time to time and I’ll mix up which machines I use, but if I don’t want to think too much, this is the routine I like to use.

After my workouts I like to go home and have a post workout snack. I recently stumbled upon Odwalla and I am hooked! Not only does Odwalla provide great-tasting nutrition in their products, they are also made with high-quality, non GMO ingredients, with no sugar added!

I purchased a couple of protein smoothies recently on my trip to Vons. They have so many different flavors to choose from! Odwalla delivers a wide variety of 100% juices and smoothies, protein and almondmilk shakes that support the on-the-go snacking occasion.

Vons even have fresh cut fruit right around the corner which is exactly what I crave after hitting the gym!! And right now at Vons you can save $1 on your next purchase of in-store fresh cut fruit when you buy any TWO (2) Odwalla 15.2 fl. oz. (You’ll receive a print out coupon at the register.). Offer ends 6/27/17. Pretty cool right? I grabbed some cut up pineapple and headed home to get my snack on.

These Odwalla products are a perfect on-the-go solution to those of us who are trying to make smart, healthy snack choices. You can nourish in no time with the great-tasting benefits of Odwalla. I try my hardest to make good choices when it comes to nutrition and Odwalla helps me do that time and time again.

What’s your favorite machine at the gym? Have you tried Odwalla? If you haven’t tried Odwalla products, head to your local Vons and take advantage of their coupon deal starting now!

  1. That mango juice is awesome! but i was advice its not good for me.. lol so sad!

  2. You said to work your booty you use “this machine” – is it the same machine you use for inner and outer thighs? I’m currently working on toning up my booty as well and am always looking for what other people do to get results. Thanks!

    1. No, it’s not the same machine. I think the technical term for this machine is the “Glute Ham Raise” or “Lying Leg Curl”. On this machine you lay down on your belly and lift the bottom half of your legs with your glute muscles. The inner outer thighs machine is where you sit down and focus on your thighs. Hopefully that helps! 🙂

Ok, I know what you’re talking about. Yeah, I have used both of those in the past and am currently doing a lot of swimming workouts, but have been considering adding weights to my program again. Thanks for the clarification!

  3. Great workout routine! I’m always looking for a quality nutritional drink with no added sugar. Will definitely look for Odwalla and give it a try 🙂

  5. My husband and I just recently purchased a gym membership so I will take these tips into consideration. I’m starting off slowly and setting some fitness goals.

  6. Looks like a productive workout! The Stairmaster is always a killer! I’m impressed you start your workout with that. I usually have to work out easily on the elliptical for a while to build up my energy to get onto the stairmaster!

    1. Thanks! I guess it’s a different approach starting with the killer machine, but it works for me 😉

  7. I have never been to a gym but once a long time ago. These look like good workouts.

    Man I need to get back to the gym! This is very inspiring. 🙂 {client}

  10. I love Odwalla drinks! And my favorite machine is the leg press. My favorite exercise (or, really, form of exercise) is running. I have a tougher time doing all of the machines and really love exercises I can do anywhere (hence, the love of running.)

    1. I kind of hate running, not gonna lie. I feel like I can only do it for about 10 minutes and then I”m dead, haha.

  11. I’ve had that mango one before and it is fantastic. And you don’t even have to workout first to buy one! 😉

    1. Yeah, the mango one is quite delicious! No workout beforehand required 😉

  12. Thank you for sharing this! Now I have more ideas on preparing my meals after my workout!
