“Goodnight Lad” the Magical Children’s Book

I received this product free in exchange of an honest review. But I only share products that I believe would benefit my readers.

“Goodnight Lad” the Magical Children’s Book

If you are like me and many other parents out there, sometimes it’s hard to get your child interested in reading. Now days, we have xbox, playstations, and iPads to compete with. But what if there was something out there that meshed the two together? To make the parents happy that they have a book open and are reading, and to make the kids happy because they have some type of electronic device in their hands while reading!

Goodnight Lad

Well, I am happy to inform you that is actually a reality now. With Bradley C. Grimm’s new magical book “Goodnight Lad” your kids can experience just that! It is freaking amazing. I’m quoting myself and my two kids after seeing what happens when you open the book and have the app open on your ipad, tablet, or iphone. It is the most entertaining thing for my kids and they are mesmerized by it.

Let me tell you a little about the book..

Goodnight Lad is a magical book about a little boy who refuses to go to bed. His parents take him around the world in efforts to tire him out. This cute bedtime story turns into an immersive experience with a little help from the free app available on Apple, Android, & Amazon devices. Point the app at the book, and the characters come to life as if they are playing on the pages of the book.

Goodnight Lad Magical Book

You don’t understand how cool it is until you give it a try yourself. My daughter, who’s 5, tried it out first. She was hooked. She sat down for a good 30-45 minutes being entertained by “Goodnight Lad”. I loved how amazed she was that every page “came alive” and moved right before her eyes. I LOVE the fact that you can turn the sound on and the app will read every page to you. My daughter who is still learning to read, struggles with some of the words. But she follows along with the audio version while the book is being read, which is a great help! Each word lights up when it is being read as well, so it’s super easy for her to follow the story.

My son who is 7 thought the concept was really cool. He likes that he can put his hands in the camera’s view and be interactive with the movements that he sees on the screen. It’s pretty awesome. I am hooked, and so are my kids. This is an AMAZING gift for young kids and would also be a great stocking stuffer for your little one! Please check Goodnight Lad out at:

  19. I’m for anything that encourages children to learn & to read. With all the super fun distractions that technology has introduced to us, it definitely is challenging to make most children interested & engaged in the more educational stuff. I like how Goodnight Lad ‘made the book come to life’. I think it’s very creative and I like that it’s interactive too.

    1. I get it, but the neat thing about this is that the app makes the book come to life. The pictures actually move. It REALLY is awesome. I was sitting there and got totally into the story. Me. A 29 year old. It is just captivating. Plain and simple.

Awesome sleeping pill for kids. I really laugh when I heard that comment from a mom, when she notice her kids silently sleeping with their gadget on hand.
