I love this time of year! The kids are out of school for “spring break” or as we like to call it Easter Break! Unfortunately, it’s getting easier and easier to leave the meaning behind the holidays out. For Christians, Easter is about Jesus’ Resurrection. And my husband and I like to remind our kids of this as much as possible. Check out these awesome ideas of how to keep Christ in Easter, and the Easter Bunny out!
Faith Filled Easter Eggs!
This is a great idea where you can have your child fill their eggs with things that represent what the Resurrection means to them! I LOVE this idea.

You’ve Been Egged!
I found this super fun FAMILY activity that you can do to remind your neighbors, friends, family, or anyone about the real meaning of Easter! This is how it works, head HERE to get these FREE printables, then hide 12 filled eggs in a friend or neighbor’s yard (make sure to leave one empty!), and tape the printable to their door. This is such a fun thing to do as a family and to keep in mind why we celebrate!
Resurrection Rolls! (My favorite of the bunch)
I adore this idea! And it’s a fun yummy activity for your kids to do themselves. The whole idea is to have the kids cover a marshmallow (Jesus) in butter and brown sugar (sweet oils) and put it in the crescent roll (the tomb). Then after you bake the tombs, the kids open up the tombs and see Jesus has Risen!!! I am definitely doing this with my kids this year.
Jelly Bean Prayer
The poem says:
And Jesus Christ our Lord was shown to be the Son of God when God powerfully raised him from the dead by means of the Holy Spririt. Through Christ, God has given us the privilege and authority to tell Gentiles everywhere what God has done for them, so that they will believe and obey him, bringing glory to his name. NLT
